The Yoga Book series launched seven years ago with a single touch LCD screen and a giant touch pad for typing. This is Lenovo's vision to produce modern laptops without physical keyboards specifically for Gen Z who are more comfortable using touch keyboards.
This year, the latest iteration of this device, the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i, was launched at CES and it is now equipped with dual-skin OLED. The design is still the same when in the closed position. When open it can be used like a normal laptop – one screen displays content and the other screen becomes a keyboard.
This year's model is more flexible as it can also be used as a giant laptop or a dual-screen laptop in a vertical position. In the fully open position the screen is 13.3” 2.8K which supports Dolby Vision display. It is powered by Intel Core i7-U15 chip, 16GB LPDDR5X memory, 1TB PCle SSD Gen4 storage and 80Wh battery.
The screen can be folded up to 360 degrees to be used in full tablet mode. This unique laptop will use the WIndows 11 operating system. The Lenovo Yoga Book 9i will be launched next June at a starting price of $2100 (~RM9234).
