Recently McAfee released a list of HP cleaning applications that turned out to be dangerous. Sometimes, this application is 'disguised' by using the Google icon so that sometimes people are tricked into thinking it is the default application.
Moreover, to promote this application to new users, malware creators create advertising pages on Facebook. Since it is a link to Google Play distributed through legitimate social media, users are bound to be interested and believe in downloading it.
What's the danger? This application will embed advertising services permanently on the victim's cellphone. This action will be launched as soon as the application is installed on the cellphone.
