Recently, Mailchimp seems to have been hacked again on January 11 through an announcement on their blog. In short, this latest hacker uses the same social engineering techniques as before and has reported that a total of 133 of their customer accounts have been compromised.
Among their biggest customers affected by this attack was WooCommerce, where they discovered that name, address and email address details may have been compromised. However, details such as passwords and credit card numbers are unaffected so far.
Malchimp said that they noticed this attack almost immediately after it happened, and for now, have ensured that their digital security systems are updated to ensure that this type of attack does not happen again in the future.
