There are rumors that the iPhone 15 series will finally receive support for the faster WiFi 6E protocol this year. This is because WiFi 6E is already supported on the new iPad Pro, Mac Mini M2 and MacBook Pro. But according to the schematic document that has been leaked to the web arena today, it is possible that only the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will support it.
iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will only support WiFi 6. In addition to offering faster speeds of up to 5.4 Gbps which is twice the speed of WiFi 6, it also has lower latency. This is necessary to support augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies.
WiFi router 6E usage is still low so its absence on the iPhone 15 and 15 Max is not a big issue for most users. It's just that WiFi 6E is already provided as standard on flagship Android devices such as the S21, and the Galaxy Fold4 earlier than on the iPhone.
