Adobe has previously announced the acquisition of Figma services that offer collaboration in design development, in addition to interface development facilities. Adobe announced the acquisition at a value of $20 billion.
Interestingly, through the latest reports, it is seen that not only Adobe is interested in Figma, but Microsoft has also discussed taking over Figma before that.
It is said that discussions with Microsoft at the time were at an early stage, and no value was stated at that time.
Microsoft is investing heavily in productivity and collaboration software, and Figma will certainly complement their offerings. But, at the same time, it may also present a challenge to Adobe – making Adobe take the first step in buying Figma.
Now Figma is in the process of receiving approval from the authorities, before being able to complete the full acquisition of Figma.
