The ChatGPT service has recently been popular among internet users, and the service made by OpenAI will be made more powerful by Microsoft.
As is well known, ChatGPT is a small part of OpenAI's application of artificial intelligence, and Microsoft is one of OpenAI's investors. The company from Redmond, USA is said to be offering a program called Azure OpenAI Service to its Azure customers.
Microsoft's move is expected to flood ChatGPT with new users, we were quoted as saying by Reuters, Wednesday (18/1/2023).
Microsoft's intention is in line with their plans to increase the injection of funds into OpenAI up to USD 10 billion. Previously in 2019 they already had 'shares' in OpenAI with a value of USD 1 billion, to be precise when OpenAI was first founded.
Part of the deal is that Microsoft will receive 75% of the profits made by OpenAI until Microsoft can recover their initial investment.
For information, although ChatGPT can be used for free, OpenAI has many other products that paid users can only use. These kinds of users can provide income for startups, one of which was initiated by Elon Musk.
The public's interest in OpenAI shot up when they opened ChatGPT access freely. This AI-based chatbot service has proven to be versatile, from making speeches, poems, articles, to writing lines of code for applications.
ChatGPT itself is an AI chatbot that will get smarter as more data input from its users. So the more users, the smarter this service will be.
However, Microsoft will also screen the use of this AI service to prevent misuse of the software. The filtering is mainly carried out on harmful content that may be entered by the user.
