RAM On New Apple Mac Pro Reportedly Not User Upgradeable

Many are looking forward to the appearance of an updated model for the Mac Pro that uses an Apple Silicon chip. It's the only Apple desktop product still sold with an Intel-made chip. According to a Bloomberg report this morning, the Mac Pro will be launched without the owner-upgradable RAM feature.

This action is certainly disappointing as professional users may want to add RAM to their Mac Pro post-purchase to improve performance. This is because after moving to Apple Silicon, RAM is plated directly to the processor chip and cannot be removed.

SSD storage, GPU cards, media and internet network cards are still replaceable. In terms of design, the new Mac Pro will still look like the Mac Pro launched in 2019.
