The Razer Blade is quite an interesting gaming laptop, due to its simple design and powerful specifications. But the price is always one of the most expensive and can reach almost RM18,000. In conjunction with the CES 2023 event, two new laptops have been launched, the Razer Blade 16 and the Razer Blade 18. This time they come with a larger screen and no more 14-inch or 15-inch options.
Razer Blade 16
This laptop is the most interesting, because it uses a dual-mode Mini-LED screen. The laptop screen supports a UHD 120Hz or FHD 240Hz display with a 16:10 resolution with HDR 1000 support, powered by an Intel Core i9-13950HX 5.6 GHz chip and a graphics card up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 with 16GB GDDR6 VRAM. For memory, Razer offers a choice of up to 64GB DDR 5 (dual-slot) DDR5 5000MHz and 2TB SSD PCIe 4.0 storage.
Razer Blade 16 also uses its own cooling chamber, supports Windows Hello camera, also available is 1x Thunderbolt 4 port USB-C PD 3.0 100W, 1x USB-C PD 100W, 3x USB-A 3.0, Razer Chroma keyboard, HDMI 2.1 connection, UHS-II SD card reader, 1x 3.5mm audio jack, and also THX Spatial Audio stereo audio system.
The battery is 6182mAh with PD fast charging support. The charger provided is 330W GaN. The body of the Razer Blade 16 is made of aluminum. The Razer Blade 16 2023 is sold at a starting price of $2,699.99, which is around RM11,887.
Razer Blade 18
As we reported yesterday, this model Razer claims is their most powerful gaming laptop to date. The screen is 18-inch IPS QHD+ 240Hz, display ratio 16:10, NVIDIA G-Sync and is powered by an Intel Core i9-13980HX chip paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card. The overall internal specifications of this laptop are more or less the same as the Razer Blade 16, but has memory up to 64GB RAM, 2TB SSD storage that can be upgraded up to 8TB.
Windows Hello camera is also included, Razer Chroma keyboard, RJ45 support, THX speakers with 3x smart amplifier, etc. are the same as the above model. As overall Razer Blade 18 is more powerful, its selling price starts from $2,899.99 which is around RM12,767.
For now, there is still no news when it will be launched in Malaysia and what the selling price will be. Let's wait together.
