Realme is showing off its newest HP charger technology which has a maximum power of 240W, and is promised to be used on its upcoming flagship HP.
This is a huge amount of power for an HP charger, that's why besides the charger, Realme also makes a special 12A cable as a pair of chargers that operate at 20V/12A and use these three lines.
This USB-C charger is called by Realme as double GaN (gallium nitride). It has a relatively small size, almost the same size as the 160W SuperDart charger, we were quoted as saying from GSM Arena, Tuesday (10/1/2023).
The 20V/12A electricity from this charger is converted to 10V/24A through three charging lines. This means that a cellphone that supports this charger must have a three-cell battery. The 12A charger cable used is no joke, because it contains four 21 AWG cables whose diameter is almost 3mm (not including the plastic protective layer).
With that much power, the security system must also be layered. Realme installs 13 real time sensors which will limit the power supplied if it detects a danger. This protection also includes the use of fire-resistant materials and various safety certifications.
However, what is most interesting is Realme's statement which ensures that this 240W charger is not just a prototype and will soon be used on Realme's next flagship phone.
This cellphone, according to Realme, will have the most extensive cooling area in its class, which uses a graphene layer with a total area of 6,580 square mm. This cooling system, in addition to cooling the chip, also cools the cellphone when it is being charged with enormous power.
Despite the large power, Realme also promises that the cellphone battery will be able to maintain its capacity up to 80% after 1,600 charging cycles, or in other words, the battery will last quite a long time even when using a charger with that much power.
For information, the current industry standard is 80% battery capacity after 800 battery charge cycles. So what is promised by Realme is quite interesting.
It is not yet known which flagship phones will get this 240W charger, but it is possible that this cellphone is the Realme GT3 Pro or maybe the Realme GT Neo5.
