The various startup programs held have opened opportunities for those who are talented to highlight their abilities and potential. For example, like RHB Get Your Hack On (ASEAN EDITION) 2023 which just opened the curtain today by announcing the results of the virtual competition which saw as many as 10 groups emerge as the top winners.
In a closing event (Demo Day) that took place today, a total of 15 groups were shortlisted to present creative ideas virtually for good solutions and capabilities to the judges. At the same time, they also need to convince the judges about the relevance of each idea presented in various forms of presentation, either directly by providing a QR code to be scanned, a video in the form of an interview and so on.
All the groups that have been shortlisted are judged by 8 professional judges who mostly consist of RHB itself, in addition to some other official partners such as MDEC and Cradle. A period of five minutes is given to each group to present their ideas, while the other three minutes are open for a question and answer session with the judges.
From the total mentioned earlier, only 10 groups were chosen as the top and consolation winners. Where, the first place was the RHB Next group who managed to take home a cash prize amounting to USD5,000 (~RM21,205). Next followed by the runner-up, the V-Cred group, who received a cash prize of USD2,500 (~RM10,603). Then, third place with a cash prize worth USD1,000 (~RM4,241) was won by the SAY group. Trophies and participation certificates were also given to all the winners.
Furthermore, the seven consolation prize winners each received a cash prize amounting to USD200 (~RM848) and a certificate of participation. The list of winners consists of Halcyon, codeLine (5), ReactEnjoyers, The Liews, Malaysia, Code Trio and SangU. A million congratulations to the winners and make this victory a stepping stone for all to continue to stand out with more and better creative ideas.
Organized by RHB Gyho in collaboration with several official partners such as aws, MDEC and MyStartup, RHB Get Your Hack On 2023 is a program that highlights various layers of new talent that have the potential to create innovative solutions in the digital banking industry.
Interestingly, this time, it was opened more widely in Southeast Asian countries (ASEAN), including Malaysia, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Also understood, this program has received more than 360 entries with 90 groups in total.
