At CES today, Samsung launched the SmartThings Station, which is a smart hub that controls various internet of things (IoT) devices in the home, office or any location where the smart system wants to be used. The hub supports Matter's new ecosystem that easily standardizes all existing IoT systems.
It has a physical routine button that can be programmed to activate the three most frequently used routines. For example, the routine of wanting to sleep turns off the lights in the whole house, controls the closed-circuit camera, activates the alarm and then rings the bell to wake up in the morning.
In addition, it also functions as a wireless charger with a maximum power of 15W. For Galaxy device users, a button on the SmartThings Station can be pressed to find a device that may be lost at home. Samsung SmartThings Station will be sold in the United States and Korea first from January but the price has not been announced.
