Suspected Murderer of 4 Criminal Ph.D. Students, Want to Apply Their Knowledge?

The man arrested for the brutal murder of four University of Idaho students was a crime expert. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in criminal justice at Washington State University, just a few miles from the crime scene.

The suspect, named Bryan Kohberger, was arrested by a SWAT team during an early morning raid on his parents' home in Pennsylvania. The DNA found in the trash of the house, which belonged to Kohberger's father, matched the DNA on the knife sheath left at the crime scene.

Kohberger is pursuing a doctorate in criminal justice at Washington State University. Shortly after his arrest, the university removed his name from the graduate student register and police raided the apartment where he lived.

He already holds a Master of Arts in criminal justice from DeSales University. While studying there, Kohberger posted on Reddit asking ex-convicts to fill out a survey on 'how emotions influence decision-making when committing a crime'.

Quoted by us from the New York Post, Kohberger stated that his project seeks to understand how emotions and psychological traits influence decision making when committing a crime.

The questions he asked respondents were quite chilling, for example "Before you act, how do you approach the victim or target?" "After committing a crime, what do you think and feel?"

Then there's the question "Did you prepare for the crime before leaving home? What did you think and feel?" and "why did you choose that victim or target over the others?"

There is speculation that Kohberger killed the 4 students as a test of his knowledge, but this has not been proven. So far, there has been no statement from the police about his motive for committing this heinous crime.
