TCL RayNeo X2 AR Glasses Equipped with Color LED Micro Screen and 16MP Camera

The development of smart glasses is now entering an era of rebirth with interest in producing them starting rapidly even after the failure of Google Glass. At CES 2023, TCL also showed the TCL RayNeo X2 which is glasses with augmented reality (AR) technology.

According to TCL, the RayNeo X2 is the first smart glasses with a color LED micro-screen built into the glasses. Visuals can be displayed on the mirror so it's useful for navigating, being a scripted teleprompter machine, watching videos and even seeing audio that's live language in real time.

The glasses are powered by a Snapdragon XR2 chip, equipped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There is a pair of speakers on the stem for listening to music as well as making voice calls. A 16MP camera is placed in the middle, unlike other smart glasses designs that place it on the stem.

Unlike TCL's previously launched smart glasses, the TCL RayNeo X2 works independently without tethering to a smartphone. Development is still underway with a launch to be done later this year as well.
