Telegram presents the latest updates that will be useful for its users. This instant messaging application brings the ability to send hidden media messages, and there are also changes to its storage management.
Previously, Telegram had released a function that allowed users to hide their text messages. When sending it, the message will hide behind the "Spoiler" screen. So, recipients can only see it after opening it
Now, Telegram is adding to that functionality by allowing users to send hidden media messages. This means that messages containing videos and pictures can also be hidden.
This may be more useful than hiding text. The reason is, videos and pictures are more likely to directly hit a person's feelings than text.
Well, now users can hide these images behind spoiler screens, and this also applies to videos. Users can send hidden media messages in group chats, 1-on-1 conversations and channel messages.
Files management
Quoted from Android Headlines, Telegram will also make it easier to manage storage. The app will bring a new file management page which will help to better visualize the files you have saved.
The chart image below shows what type of file you have, and how much data the Telegram file 'eats' as a whole.
Below the graph, you will see what percentage of total device storage is used by the Telegram file along with its progress.
Then, underneath, you'll see the pie chart data reflected as separate items i.e. items like videos, images, music files, documents, and more. It will show the percentage used by each item along with the total storage used by that file type.
This function makes it much easier for users to view and manage the storage used files on the device. This new storage management page allows users to manage what files are saved to the cloud and limit how much storage apps use on the gadget.
