The App Store was offered to iPhone users on July 10, 2008 with 500 apps and it now has over 1.8 million apps. Today Eddy Cue who is the vice president for Apple's services business division announced that the App Store has paid out more than $320 billion to developers since its inception.
Also announced is that Apple has 900 million paid customers to the services offered by them. The App Store also has 650 million visitors from 175 markets every week.
As for the Apple Arcade service, more than 200 applications can now be downloaded by customers without being interrupted by any form of advertising. Also touched upon by Cue is that Apple Music offers over 100 million songs to stream which has the same capacity as 100,000 first generation iPods as announced by the late Steve Jobs in 2001.
