Previously it was rumored that the Samsung Galaxy S23 series will use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip specifically for the Galaxy. This was confirmed through an image leaked by Roland Quandt last night. Based on previous reports, this Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy chip will have a faster Prime core than the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is equipped with eight cores with a 1+4+3 configuration. One core Prime with CPU Cortex X3, four cores with CPU Cortex A715 and three cores with CPU A510. The official specifications of this specific chip are still a mystery and will only be known after the Galaxy S23 series is launched in the early morning of February 2.
Will this chip be more powerful than normal features? Only time will tell but if only one core is faster the performance increase may not be as high.
