AirBag Jeans Equipped with an Air Bag to Avoid Injury to Motorcycle Riders

According to JPJ data, 402,626 road accidents were recorded in 2022 which caused 4,379 deaths. This is a 52% increase compared to 2021. The majority of deaths involve two-wheeled vehicle riders due to the lack of protection on the body when they are involved in an accident.

Mo'cycle, a company from Sweden has launched AirBag Jeans which has a built-in airbag system to prevent injury to the wearer's lower body. AirBang Jeans look like normal jeans in normal conditions. When triggered by a crash, it expands in milliseconds to provide protection to the rider's legs, thighs and waist.

Air bags are deployed using carbon dioxide bottles that can be replaced after use. In addition to AirBag Jeans, AirBag Vest is also offered by Mo'cycle to provide protection for the entire body.

AirBag Jeans will be sold at a price of 349 Euros (~RM1652) and it will raise funds through the Indiegogo fundraising page at the end of this month.
