AORUS, the gaming and premium component brand under GIGABYTE has recently shown their latest storage offering called AORUS Gen5 10000, which is also their first NVMe PCIe 5.0 SSD storage.
Present in 1TB and 2TB offerings, this AORUS Gen5 10000 uses brand new components such as the Phison E26 SSD controller, 3D TLC NAND storage chip and also has built-in LPDDR4 memory.
In terms of speed, GIGABYTE says that the 1TB size model comes with a data reading speed of 9.5GB/s and a data writing rate of 8.5GB/s and has a durability of 700 TBW, while the 2TB model has a data reading speed of 10GB/s and a data writing rate of 9.5GB /s with 1400TBW durability.
Another uniqueness of this SSD storage is the cooling block used to cool these components. A number of other brands use blocks with cooling fans, but for this SSD, the cooling block uses heat pipes to remove heat from these components.
For now, GIGABYTE has not yet confirmed when they will start selling this SSD in the global market.
