The 12-inch MacBook was first introduced in 2015. This laptop was also one of the first to use a USB-C port and also became a hot topic when there was only one port available. Four years later in 2019, this MacBook model was discontinued.
A recent report from MacRumors states that Apple may be bringing back the 12-inch MacBook. According to them, Apple suppliers in Taiwan are preparing for the production of this compact laptop. Development is also said to be still underway with bulk production planned around the second half of this year.
Gurman once reported that the 12-inch MacBook will be introduced either at the end of 2023 or early 2024. But Mung-Chi Kuo and Ross Young stated that there is still no news if Apple really wants to bring back this 12-inch MacBook.
