Apple seems to be preparing an iPhone variant that is far more expensive than the Pro and Pro Max variants. Reportedly, Apple will launch the Ultra iPhone in 2024, along with the launch of the iPhone 16 Series
This news came from Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman. In September 2022, Gurman predicted the iPhone Ultra would replace the Pro Max variant for the iPhone 15 which was released this year.
But the latest theory indicates that Apple wants to release an iPhone that is more powerful and more expensive. That is, the price of Ultra iPhone is likely to be more expensive than the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which is currently sold at prices starting from USD 1,099.
When announcing Apple's financial statements last week, Tim Cook's CEO also indicated that it would increase the price of the iPhone. He also said consumers might want to pay more to get better products.
"The iPhone has become a very integral part of the lives of people. I think people are willing to spend more to get the best they are able to buy in that category," Cook said, as quoted by The Verge, Monday (6/2 /2023).
Gurman does not reveal what exclusive features will be present on the Ultra iPhone. He predicts that the Sultan's device will bring an increase to the camera, a firmer chip, and a larger display. The device may also rely on wireless charging so that the charging port is removed.
Apple itself has begun to distinguish the device and 'force' users to pay more expensive if you want to use exclusive features on the iPhone Pro and Pro Max.
Last year, Apple launched the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max with exclusive features such as Dynamic Island and A16 chipset. Gurman said Apple plans to make the difference between pro and regular variants become clearer on the iPhone 15.
The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are rumored to be present with USB-C and use the Haptic button for volume and power. In addition, IPHINE 15 Pro Max will reportedly be the only model equipped with a periscope camera.
