Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger who are the founders of Instagram and have launched the new application Artifact three weeks ago in the form of a closed test. Through it, users will be recommended articles that can be read based on an algorithm like TikTok. Today Artifact is finally open to anyone interested in using it.
Users will be asked to select topics of interest and follow other users on the platform. More relevant article suggestions will be provided all the time. At a glance Artifact is like Twitter but only for readable articles.
With the launch of the full version some new features are also introduced. The first is to see which articles are popular among friends and people who follow in Artifact. The second is to see the statistics of which topics, categories and publications are read most often by users. Third and last is the feature that tells Artifact which articles are liked and disliked so that the algorithm can provide more accurate recommendations.
