During the CES 2023 event that took place last month, ASUS showed a number of new ROG gaming class laptops powered by the latest processing chips released by Intel and NVIDIA.
ASUS Malaysia has confirmed that two of the laptop models in their ASUS ROG STRIX SCAR range, namely ROG STRIX SCAR 16 and ROG STRIX SCAR 18 will arrive in the local market in mid-February 2023.
Starting with the display, ROG STRIX SCAR 16 and 18 come with 16-inch (Mini LED) and 18-inch (IPS) ROG Nebula displays with 2560×1600 resolution and 240Hz refresh rate and 16:10 aspect ratio.
These laptops are also powered by Intel's most powerful laptop processing chip, namely Intel Core i9-13980HX with DDR5 memory up to 64GB and also SSD PCIe 4.0 1+1TB storage and also powered by NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card for the SCAR 18 model and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 for the SCAR 16 model.
For the local market, these laptops are also offered together with accessories such as ROG Backpack, ROG Fusion II 300 headphones and ROG Gladius III gaming mouse.
If you still want a powerful gaming laptop, but don't want too powerful gaming components, ASUS Malaysia also introduced the ASUS ROG STRIX G16 and ROG STRIX G18 offerings.
Available with 16 and 18-inch IPS display offerings as well, it also comes with a 2560×1600 resolution and 240Hz refresh rate for the 18-inch model and a 1920×1200 resolution with a 165Hz refresh rate for the 16-inch model.
In terms of specifications, the STRIX G18 model is powered by an Intel Core i9-13980HX processor chip with 32GB DDR5 memory and 1TB storage. As for the GPU option, it is powered by an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card.
ROG STRIX G16 is powered by an Intel Core i7-13650HX processor chip with 16GB DDR5 memory and 1TB SSD storage.
