Canon EOS R50 Announced With 24.2MP APSC Sensor

The Canon EOS R50 camera was announced early this morning with a 24.2MP APSC sensor. It is an entry-level digital camera that can take pictures at a rate of 15 FPS up to 28 JPEG images or up to 42 continuous pictures at a rate of 12FPS.

Video capabilities are up to 4K 30FPS only and FHD 120FPS. Video recording up to an hour can be done continuously. The camera also only uses the OIS stabilization system without the IBIS system that is usually used in modern digital cameras.

The camera is equipped with an OLED viewfinder with 2.36 million dots and a 3" TFT screen on the back with touch support. The viewing angle of this screen can be changed to make it easier to record self-videos for vlogs.

If not used as a video camera, the R50 can also be used as a web camera for computers. The retail price for the Canon EOS R50 is $680 (~RM2929) for the body only and $780 (~RM3360) with the RF-S18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM lens.
