CEO Nothing : OnePlus 11 is pretty good and interesting, but it doesn't have its own identity

The CEO of Nothing, Carl Pei can be said to be one of the best in marketing brands and products. Most recently, Carl Pei reviewed phones from the former company he founded, OnePlus.

The latest smartphone under OnePlus is the OnePlus 11, and it has just been launched in Malaysia. Coincidentally, Carl Pei published a review video and personal views on the smartphone.

Through the review, Carl Pei says it has an interesting design and build – although there are some questionable points such as the non-parallel side button design and being too thin.

In addition, he also stated that it is now understood why many do not like the new operating system used on OnePlus compared to OxygenOS before. It appears to be not optimized for global users, and is more of a translation than a language-based system in China. This is exemplified by the use of text on those widgets and operating systems, which are abbreviated and condensed for no reason.

It is also questioned which zoom camera quality on OnePlus 11 is the same quality as Nothing Phone (1) which uses digital zoom. Carl Pei also stated that Nothing needs to do more optimization on Nothing's own camera support.

At the end of the review as well, Carl Pei said the OnePlus 11 doesn't have its own identity.

Carl Pei also stated that OnePlus 11 brings high processing power and is suitable for various games through the latest chip on it, if compared to Nothing Phone (1) which is more focused on daily use.
