China Bans ChatGPT Integration By Local Companies

ChatGPT is the most popular artificial intelligence right now because it's easy to use, free and has the ability to write like a real human. It has already been integrated by Microsoft on some of their services. It's really useful TM Roh president of Samsung's mobile devices business said they have plans to also use it in products that will be released in the future.

While the world is racing to use ChatGPT, China has issued orders that local companies do not offer it on their products. According to a Nikkei Asia report, Tencent Holdings and Ant Group are two companies that have already received this directive.

In addition, local companies have to provide a report to the authorities before launching a service similar to ChatGPT. The reason ChatGPT is banned is because the Chinese government sees it as "helping the United States government to spread misinformation and manipulate global narratives for political gain".

Banning services from the West is a common norm in China. Various services such as Google, Twitter and Facebook are not allowed to operate in China and can only be accessed using a VPN.

ChatGPT's ban is seen as a return of the hard fruit to the United States, which has banned TikTok on the devices used by civil servants for allegedly enabling spying by China.
