Dell Will Cut Nearly 7000 Jobs

The world of technology seems to be experiencing an apocalyptic era after Thanos snaps his fingers in recent months. Today it was Dell's turn to announce the reduction of 6660 employees which is equivalent to 5% of their global workforce. The move came after demand for PCs declined post-pandemic.

In several previous reports, computer production by Dell plunged more than 30% in Q4 2022. This is not unique to Dell alone with other PC manufacturers also experiencing the same fate. With the drastic reduction in the workforce, Dell follows in the footsteps of Amazon, Google, Meta, and Microsoft which shed thousands of workers to cope with reduced demand post-pandemic.
