Elon Musk Allow the bot circulating on Twitter, as long as ...

Twitter recently closed free access to its Application Programming Interface (API). This means, the application maker who depends on the data from the Twitter API must pay a number of fees so that the application or service can function again.

According to Elon Musk, Twitter owner, this step was taken because Twitter fire was often misused by Bot Scammer and Spammer. For this reason, he will apply a fee of around USD 100 per month complete with identity verification for users who want to access the API.

Musk's steps were protested by many parties, because many useful bots used Twitter fire, both for entertainment or being able to collect tweet from a thread, and so forth. Many developers announced it would close the bot on February 9, which is a free access deadline to Twitter API.

That's why Musk then made a new announcement, namely Twitter allowing BOT to access Twitter API for free with a condition. That is, the bot must be used to produce good content. The fire that was opened for free was not all, but only the fire 'light, write-only'.

Musk did not reveal more detailed information related to this 'good content', and so far there has been no official announcement from Twitter regarding this problem. You could say, until now, the fate of the bot on Twitter is still adrift.

Although the main reason is to eradicate the garbage bots on Twitter, access to paid fire can be a new source of income for Twitter, who is indeed trying to boost its income.

For example, Twitter charges USD 8 per month for users who want an account to have a blue check. In fact, they reportedly want to ask for a payment of USD 1,000 per month for companies that want to maintain gold checks on their official account.
