Elon Musk Believes Humans Will Go to Mars in 10 Years

SpaceX spacecraft trials went smoothly. Elon Musk as the CEO of SpaceX is optimistic and really believes humans can go to Mars in 10 years.

Quoted from Insider, Wednesday (22/02/2023), in one of his tweets, the world's richest man said that one day, starships would take humans to Mars.

He conveyed this tweet by responding to a tweet by the Twitter account @SpaceX which posted a video of the successful test of the SpaceX spacecraft, Elon Musk's space transportation company.

The spacecraft is claimed by SpaceX as the strongest vehicle because it can carry crew and cargo to be carried into the orbit of Earth, Moon, Mars, and even further.

Musk responded to one user who asked when humans could go to Mars, "5 years is possible, and 10 years is very possible," he replied, admitting that basically he is a very optimistic person from birth.

In the video shown by SpaceX, technicians test the spacecraft, and Musk states that 31 of the 33 engines on the plane managed to start simultaneously. One engine was turned off by the team before starting and the other stopped itself.

"But it's still possible to reach orbit," Elon Musk said in a tweet.

Most recently, Musk predicts that humans can land on Mars in 2029, 4 years back from his prediction in 2016 which once said humans would reach Mars in 2025.

Musk expressed his vision in 2020, that he wants to build a city with one million inhabitants on Mars by 2050. In addition, Elon Musk wants to make 1,000 spacecraft and launch three times into space three times a day, so that anyone can travel to Mars later.

"There will be a lot of work on Mars," Musk concluded.
