Fun! iOS 16.4 Update Will Have 31 New Emojis

Apple has started releasing iOS 16.4 developer beta which contains a number of interesting updates. One of them is 31 new emoji that iPhone users can immediately enjoy.

The new emoji designs follow the Unicode emoji version 15.0 that was announced last year. Not much has changed in the design of this emoji, except that the shaking head emoji is now tilted slightly.

Besides the shaking head emoji, the iOS 16.4 update will also bring dozens of other new emoji including the pink, blue, and gray heart emoji. There are also hand emojis facing left and right to represent high-five, ginger emoji, donkey, goose, jellyfish, maracas, to the Wi-Fi symbol.

Not only dozens of new emoji, iOS 16.4 will also bring a number of improvements. International keyboards will receive updates, including autocorrect enabled by default for Korean keyboards and predictive text support for Ukrainian.

There's also a new WebKit update in iOS 16.4 that allows web apps to send push notifications. Apple first introduced this WebKit update at last year's Worldwide Developer Conference event.

If the user adds a web app on the home screen, the developer will be able to send push notifications after obtaining permission. So developers can send notifications in the form of 'subscribe' buttons or other direct interactions, as quoted from The Verge, Sunday (19/2/2023).

iPhone users who can't wait to use emoji and new features should download iOS 16.4 beta 1 which is available in the Apple Developer Program. The public version of iOS 16.4 will likely be released in March or April 2023.

Apple itself has just released the iOS 16.3.1 update which brings fixes for dangerous security holes that have been exploited by hackers. This update also brings fixes for a number of issues related to Crash Detection and iCloud features.
