To prove the video recording capabilities of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Samsung teamed up with a well-known British director, Ridley Scott, to make a full film with this flagship cellphone. What were the results like?
Ridley Scott, who is famous for films such as Alien, Blade Runner, and Gladiator, has made a short film called Behold, which has just been shown on YouTube.
About 3.5 minutes long, the film tells the story of a young man's life. The video itself looks high-quality and describes the capabilities of the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
It's no secret that the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra does have extraordinary specifications, including the camera. It can record 8K video through its 200 megapixel resolution camera.
Ridley Scott used the S23 Ultra in a variety of complex shots, attaching it to a custom gimbal, with assistance from cinematographer Flavio Fabiano.
"Initially, I was worried it wouldn't give me the wide range of options I usually have while working," Scott said at the recent launch of the Galaxy S23.
"But once I got used to the settings, I was surprised by how versatile the phone was. After I became more familiar with the S23, I was impressed by its capabilities, image quality and dynamic range from the sensor" said Fabiano.
Curious? The following is a Ridley Scott film made entirely using the Galaxy S23 Ultra camera.
