Google Photos Failed to Work After iOS 16.3.1 Update

Apple released iOS 16.3.1 and iPadOS 16.3.1 updates this morning to patch a Webkit security vulnerability that can be exploited to take over users' devices. The security patch is good for security but users are now reporting Google Photos are problematic after the device is upgraded.

Among the reported issues are applications that cannot be launched or crash randomly. This applies to the iPhone and iPad versions of the app. The application may need to be updated by Google first before it can function smoothly again. Right now patching security vulnerabilities is probably more important than accessing Google Photos on a mobile device.
