Honor Magic Vs With Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Launched Into Global Market

Honor Magic Vs has also been launched for the global market today at the Mobile World Congress 2023 taking place in Barcelona. Honor's much-anticipated second foldable device has been given an interesting upgrade compared to the previous generation. This includes a light and thin body, a larger screen and a more robust camera system.

Honor Magic Vs uses a 7.9-inch OLED main screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2272 X 1984 pixels. Meanwhile, the secondary screen is 6.45-inch OLED with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a resolution of 2560 X 1080 pixels. HDR10+ certification is also supported by both sides of the device's screen. Next, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip is used as the mainstay which is matched with 12GB RAM memory and 512GB internal storage.

Furthermore, the MagicOS 7.1 interface based on Android 13 also includes various interesting functions that focus on improving the user experience with connectivity and smarter services. In addition, a smoother performance experience and an upgraded security system are also provided for this new operating system.

Next, the main camera configuration consists of 54MP (main) + 50MP (wide-angle & macro) + 8MP (telephoto), while the selfie camera is 16MP for both sides of the outer and inner screen. A fingerprint scanner is placed on the right side for those who like to use biometric systems. The battery is 5000mAh with a 66W fast charging system.

Unfortunately the obvious shortcomings start to show when the device doesn't even have any official dust or water resistance standards. As for the price, this smart device is sold at €1599 (~RM7563) for one and no official date has been revealed for its availability in Malaysia.
