Honor Magic5 Pro Now Official With Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Chip And 50MP Tri-Sensor


 Honor Magic5 Pro was officially launched today in conjunction with the Mobile World Congress 2023 taking place in Barcelona. It is Honor's new flagship device that focuses on performance, camera and battery.



Through it the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip is used as the mainstay of the device. This is also matched with a memory of 12GB RAM (LPDDR5X), 512GB internal storage (UFS4.0) without microSD slot capability. Furthermore, e-SIM capability is also supported by this device.



The screen is a curved 6.81-inch LTPO with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a resolution of 1312 x 2848 pixels. This screen also received HDR10+ certification along with the ability to display up to 1.07 billion. Furthermore, the main camera setup consists of 50MP (wide) OIS + 50MP (ultra-wide) + 50MP (periscope telephoto), while the selfie camera is 12MP.




The camera is also upgraded with a photography and videography feature called Millisecond Falcon Capture that enables fast photo capture without lag issues. Next, the AI Motion Sensing Capture feature can capture photos of any drastic movement automatically with impressive results. This includes being used to quickly capture images of people running, jumping or smiling. Then the Magic-Log 10-bit recording feature allows the user to freely pattern the recorded video according to the type of editing desired.




The device also uses a 5100mAh battery that supports a 66W wired fast charging system and SuperChage 11 wireless charging. Not only that, the Honor Magic5 Pro also runs the all-new Android 13-based MagicOS 7.1 interface. Other specifications include a 3D face scanner, NFC, AI Privacy 2.0 feature, bluetooth 5.2, DTX:Ultra audio tuned stereo speakers and built-in 5G network. The selling price of the device is €1199 (~RM5669) apiece.
