Reporting from the New York Post, Tuesday (21/2/2023) IBM CEO Arvind Krishna said AI will take over white-collar jobs. The AI ChatGPT boom was a really great marketing moment.

Krishna in his interview with the Financial Times predicts that any job is likely to be replaced by this technology. Jobs such as customer service, HRD, health and financial services can be replaced by AI.

"We do have a labor shortage in the real world and that's because of the demographic issues facing the world. So maybe we can find a tool that replaces some of the jobs, and this time it's a good one," he said.

Krishna's company, IBM, is teaming up with McDonald's in 2021 for an automated drive-thru. He said health and financial services were regular jobs. That kind of thing no longer have to be done by humans.

"Big business can be automated with this technique (AI)," he said.

Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Information Sciences at the Rochester Institute of Technology, Pengcheng Shi also said office jobs in finance could be erased due to AI.

"On the trade side, even in investment banks, people are hired from colleges and spend two-three years working like robots and doing Excel modeling. It can be done by AI and it's faster," he said.

For HRD work, according to Krishna, AI can do 90% of data processing to promote people, hire people, and transfer people. Also AI, can take over customer service and get clients over time.
