Implementation of Toll Route Flow Without Crosses May Be Implemented Earlier Than the 2025 Target

Malaysia previously aimed for the introduction of barrier-free tolls as early as 2026. Interestingly, now the Minister of Public Works is targeting that the matter may be implemented earlier.

With the introduction of this free-flow toll system without toll bars, it is expected to reduce congestion at toll plazas, in addition to facilitating the movement of vehicles when exiting and entering the highway.

The Minister of Public Works also shared today that he had met with 32 toll highway service concession companies in Malaysia, to discuss the implementation of this barrier-free toll flow.

For now, a number of assessments are being carried out related to this matter, including legal and technical ones.
