WhatsApp, Telegram and several other messaging services already support message broadcasting for one person to send messages to many people at once. Is this to make an announcement for example.
Recently, Meta has introduced more or less the same feature for Instagram through DM, namely Channels.
With this Instagram feature, content creators, celebrities, entrepreneurs or many others can post texts, photos, polls, and more to the public. Only for now this feature is limited to selected users in the United States and other users can only apply and hope Meta approves to use this Channels feature.
Mark Zuckerberg will also use his Instagram to spread information and announcements using Channels. Followers of Instagram accounts that can use this feature can react or vote. But can't reply to any messages.
