MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Launched With A Focus On Photography And Photography

MediaTek has now announced the Dimensity 7200 as its first processing chip under the new Dimensity 7000 series. It is a 5G chip that focuses on photography through advanced AI imaging features. In addition to optimizing the user experience, it is more powerful with deep power savings for battery life.

Through it it uses 4nm technology (TSMC) based on an eight-core architecture that combines 2 X Arm Cortex-A715 at a speed of 2.8GHz and 6X Cortex A510. This is also matched with the Arm Mali G610 MC4 GPU along with the built-in AI Processing Unit (APU) which is able to maximize the efficiency of tasks and combined AI processing. Hyper Engine 5.0 technology is also supported for power saving purposes, while also optimizing GPU power for better battery life.

Screen support is up to 144Hz at FHD+ resolution, while memory frequency can reach 6400Mbps and UFS3.1 based storage. Also supported, camera systems up to 200MP for one module with video recording up to 4K. Furthermore, connectivity includes Sub-6GHz 5G and Wi-Fi 6E, in addition to Bluetooth LE Audio and Dual-Link True Wireless Stereo Audio technology for wireless earphone support.

Devices with the Dimensity 7200 chip will soon be equipped with built-in 5G support and begin to be marketed around the first quarter of this year.
