Mark Zuckerberg already stated that he will make this year an "Efficient Year", while controlling various costs, as well as increasing the revenue generated.
In parallel, previously, Meta had terminated 11,000 workers under them. Now, there are reports that Meta will lay off more employees soon.
It is said that the operations at Meta itself are now rather inefficient with no budget for each team – as well as causing various new developments to stall or experience delays. The rate at which decisions are made is also said to be slower than before – taking up to a month to get confirmation, compared to days before.
Mark Zuckerberg has previously stated that he wants to restructure the organization – while removing several layers of management to ensure that decisions can be made faster.
Meta is expected to start laying off workers by March.
