Microsoft today announced that they will limit the use of Bing Chat – that is the use of artificial intelligence in getting answers to just 50 questions a day.
Furthermore, for each advanced question session, it will be limited to only 5 questions and answers for a session.
With this measure, a user cannot "chat" or chat with Bing Chat for a long period of time. Microsoft says long sessions with Bing Chat lead to confusion with the bot's system - making the answers sometimes repetitive, or "creepy". Some of the answers given are still wrong.
These limitations also present some constraints on artificial intelligence-based bot systems in introducing them to the public widely. Indirectly, this will also make it difficult to use as a search engine replacement for now.
