Microsoft Officially Supports Windows 11 On Macs With M1 And M2 Chips

Microsoft has finally officially provided support for the Windows 11 operating system used on macOS computers equipped with M1 and M2 chips. This is done through the latest Parallel Desktop 18 which will allow the ARM version of Windows to be installed.

So far Microsoft has not sold ARM versions of Windows licenses to users. This is a step that will make it easier for macOS computer users to run a secondary operating system even through a VM implementation.

Parallel Desktop has supported Windows ARM since version 16.5 but users have to go through a laborious process. With official support from Microsoft itself, installation can be done with just a few clicks complete with trusted platform module (TPM) and Secure Boot support.
