Mark Zuckerberg today officially announced the introduction of a new feature called Meta Verified.
Through the Meta Verified service, it is a subscription service that allows users to verify their accounts using a government-verified identity – at the same time providing a blue mark on their accounts.
In addition, Meta Verified will also provide additional protection from fake accounts trying to impersonate you. Users will also be given direct access to customer service for any assistance.
For now, this feature is being rolled out in stages, starting in Australia and New Zealand. Mark Zuckerberg says it costs $11.99 for a subscription via the web, or $14.99 via iOS.
