Last year, OnePlus' first flagship TWS was sold in Malaysia, the OnePlus Buds Pro. Our review gives this TWS a score of 9.3/10 for providing a satisfying usage experience with immersive audio.
The latest version is the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 which looks similar on the outside, but the inside is better. This TWS uses a MelodyBoost Dynaudio 11mm + 6mm dual-dynamic type audio driver. LHDC 4.0 Lossless Hi-Res Audio support for higher quality audio is included with the help of Bluetooth 5.3 LE Audio connection for a time interval as low as 54ms. There are three built-in microphones with AI algorithms and also support Google Fast Pair quick pairing.
OnePlus Buds Pro 2 also supports spatial audio in collaboration with Hans Zimmer for audio on settings for users to try this feature. The Audio ID 2.0 feature is also included for tuning the audio profile according to the user's hearing level, and 48dB adaptive noise cancellation support along with sound-through mode can also be enjoyed. The tracking feature to and spine for health monitoring can be used so that the user's position is always the best.
To ensure that this TWS is suitable for sports, IP55 protection is provided with contact control. If the user has two devices the Dual Bluetooth Connectivity feature can be used for quick pairing and easy switching between devices. While for users who want to meditate, the Zen Mode Air feature can continue to be used in OnePlus devices or other devices through the HeyMelody application which can also be used as a control application and update the new TWS software.
The battery of each earphone is 60mAh while the charging frame is 520mAh with a battery life of 9 hours and 39 hours. OnePlus Buds Pro 2 is offered in two color options, namely Arbor Green or Obsidian Black which uses a soft finish with a matte NCL tactile coating.
The selling price of the local market will only be revealed on February 14 together with the OnePlus 11. In the United States, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 is sold at a price of $179, which is around RM770.
