Today RedMagic Malaysia has announced the arrival of their new gaming device for the Malaysian market, the RedMagic 8 Pro. This device is the second gaming device in Malaysia with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip after the iQOO 11.
The RedMagic 8 Pro uses a 6.8-inch AMOLED 120Hz FHD+ screen with HDR10+ display support. The screen design is comprehensive with no camera hole or notch interference and also uses a very thin bezel. This is enabled because the 16MP selfie camera is a second-generation UDC under-screen sensor.
This device is paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and internal storage up to 512GB UFS 4.0. The rear camera is 50+8+2 Megapixel, the device's battery is 6000mAh with GaN 65W fast charging, and is equipped with a stereo speaker system.
This device also has an ICE 11 Multi-Dimensional Cooling System physical cooling fan made of aircraft-grade aluminum alloy 59 blades and rotating at a rate of 20,000 RPM. The side of the device is also equipped with air ducts to release hot air. A physical drop-down switch has also been retained to easily switch between normal mode and game mode. As a gaming device, the RGB system is also included.
This device uses a flat design on the sides, top, bottom and front and back. The device also feels sturdy in the hand and looks premium with an understated design and a charming dull black finish.
RedMagic 8 Pro runs RedMagic OS 6 based on Android 13 which is equipped with RedMagic Studio features to broadcast previews to laptops and turn the device into a control tool, support a lot of widgets and is powered with a smart system for device management from memory, security and more.
RedMagic 8 Pro is sold in Malaysia at a price of RM3699 for the 12/256 GB model (Matte color) and RM4299 (Void color, transparent) for the 16/512 GB, Sales will start this February 25 on their official Lazada – REDMAGIC MY. In conjunction with the launch, the 12/256 GB model can be purchased at a price of RM2899 and the 16/512 GB model at a price of RM3499.
