Rumored to Launch Samsung Galaxy S23 FE This Year

Last year Samsung didn't launch the Galaxy S22 FE due to the scarcity of chips and weak global economic conditions. But it looks like they will revive the Galaxy FE line this year and launch the Galaxy S23 FE.

This rumor comes from the South Korean media Hankooki who claims that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S23 FE in the second half of 2023, possibly in August or September, as quoted by SamMobile, Friday (17/1/2023).

The Hankooki report also says that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S23 FE as a replacement for the Galaxy A74. Samsung is reportedly going to skip the launch of the Galaxy A74 to increase sales of the Galaxy S23 FE.

Not only that, this seller from South Korea is predicted to launch the Galaxy S23 FE in more countries compared to the Galaxy S21 FE, which was only released in several countries in Asia, Europe and the United States.

Samsung first released the Galaxy FE line in 2020. As soon as it was launched, the Galaxy S20 FE was immediately popular and Samsung managed to sell 10 million units.

However, when the Galaxy S21 FE was launched the following year, sales were not as good as the Galaxy S20 FE. Samsung then did not launch the Galaxy S22 FE due to various factors, one of which was the scarcity of chips and Samsung prioritized the production of the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Rumors about the arrival of the Galaxy S23 FE also appeared after Samsung was reported to be stopping the Galaxy A7x line. It is reported that Samsung managed to sell only three million units of the Galaxy A73 so they are more careful in planning their product lines to avoid cannibalization.

At the moment not much is known about the Galaxy S23 FE as the rumors are still in their early stages. However, some tipsters say that the Galaxy S23 FE will likely come with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset or even the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
