Samsung Message Guard Launched To Prevent Zero Click Attacks

A zero click attack occurs when an image received through a messaging application contains malicious code that allows a computer system to be taken over by hackers. It happens more and more often because many people think that pressing the received image is safe.

For users of Samsung devices, Samsung Message Guard has been launched by with it being the final defense preventing them from becoming victims of hackers. Through Samsung Message Guard, the spread of images received through Samsung Message and Samsung Google Messages will be stored in a sandbox isolated from the entire operating system.

With this any malicious code embedded in the image will not be able to infect the operating system of the device. Samsung Message Guard then performs a check on the image to ensure it is safe. All of this is done in the background without having to be activated by the device owner.

Samsung Message Guard is now available on Galaxy S23 series devices and will be available on other Samsung devices in stages.
