Samsung Patents Watch With Built-in Projector

Modern smart watches can track heart rate, sleep patterns, ECG, menstrual cycle, blood pressure and body fat percentage. All these features are advanced but the smartwatch face is still the same as an analog watch. Samsung's future smartwatches may look more like something out of science fiction if the latest patents filed come true.

A patent filed earlier this month shows a projector on the side of the watch body. Through this system, all watch information will be transmitted on the back of the wearer's hand. At the same time the clock still maintains a small screen if the projector system is not activated.

Interesting idea but some previous attempts with the same system were not very encouraging. During the day, the displayed image is not bright and the system also consumes a lot of battery. The existence of a patent does not mean that it will become a real product. So if you're craving this watch don't be disappointed if it doesn't appear in the near future.

Previously, Samsung had only released the Galaxy Beam which was a smartphone with a projector on the top. It was not very popular and the product has been discontinued.
