Sir Jony Ive Designed the Coronation Logo of King Charles III

King Charles III will be crowned king of Britain and the Commonwealth of Nations on May 6, 2023. In conjunction with this historic day, the official coronation logo has been shown to the public and was designed by Sir Jony Ive.

The logo uses natural plant motifs because King Charles has been concerned about environmental sustainability since he was still a crown prince. The logo uses the colors of the Union Jack. The blue crown is formed using leaf and flower motifs. There are also elements of roses for England, thistles for Scotland, daffodils for Wales, and shamrocks for Northern Ireland.

Sir Jony Ive was the leading designer behind the iPhone, iPad, iMac, Apple Watch and iPod products during his tenure under the late Steve Jobs. Throughout his career, Ive shaped industrial design at Apple and indirectly various electronic devices that wanted to look like they were designed in Cupertino.

He was awarded the title of sir by the late Queen Elizabeth II in 2012 in recognition of his services in the world of industrial design.
