Starlink offers internet services wherever customers are using their satellite network. Starting with the home plan, it is now offered to ships, airplanes and even moving vehicles. With their satellite internet service now officially offered in 48 countries, Starlink also announced a global roaming plan.
Through this Starlink Global Roaming plan priced at $200 per month, customers can enjoy internet services wherever they are freely. In addition to paying the subscription cost, customers also have to buy a satellite kit costing $599. This plan is still in the testing stage and is offered to selected customers only. Customers can return the kit if they are not satisfied with the service offered by Starlink.
So far Starlink is able to offer internet at speeds between 50-500 Mbps. In emergency situations such as in Ukraine, Starlink has been found useful to allow communication to continue after conventional infrastructure has been destroyed by bombing.
