Twitch streamer cries himself as a victim of deepfake porn videos. He told this to netizens during a live broadcast last week. QTCinderella (28) or Blaire, her real name, also cursed perverted people who contacted her via direct messages on social media.
"I'm so tired and I think you guys need to know what the pain is like because of this," cried QTCinderella.
"This is what it feels like to be humiliated. This is what it feels like to be taken advantage of, this is what it's like to see yourself naked against the will of being spread all over the internet. This is what it looks like," he said.
QTCinderella then pointed to gamer Atrioc who had previously gone wild about buying two fake videos featuring famous female Twitch stars. It is also said to have driven a huge spike into deepfake porn sites.
"To the person who created the website, I will sue you. I promise, with all my soul, I will sue you," he vowed, as reported by the NY Post, Tuesday (7/2/2023).
Deepfakes are examples of technological advances that can be a double-edged sword. Deepfake itself is an artificial intelligence (AI) that can create or fake audio using prepared reference material.
Cybersecurity expert Pratama Persadha gave us his opinion on the other side of deepfakes.
"The real threats from the cyber world in the future will be increasingly diverse, for example what has been frequently discussed and become a threat is hoaxes. But now, the threat of hoaxes is coupled with the deepfake model which is really dangerous," he said.
If it's only for personal use there doesn't seem to be a problem, but if you have bad intentions then it could be bad. Because, until now there is no technology that can detect whether the video is fake or genuine.
Apart from that, porn sites have been found for quite some time showing deepfake videos of artist faces, especially K-pop idols. Statistics show that victims of deepfake technology for porn videos using the faces of female K-Pop idols reach 25%.
