Tesla Recalls Large Number Of Their Cars Due To Issues With Self-driving Software

Tesla introduced their Full Self Driving (FSD) software a few years ago with the promise that in the future, Tesla vehicle owners would be able to get into their vehicle, and it would be driven without the need for input from a human driver.

After several fatal incidents caused by this FSD self-driving software and pressure from various parties, Tesla has officially recalled 362,758 of their vehicles, which include Tesla Model S and Model X from 2016-2023, Tesla Model 3 from 2017-2023 and tesla Model Y from 2020-2023 which is equipped with FSD beta software.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in the United States has already started an investigation against Tesla regarding the FSD self-driving software since 2021, and now it seems that the issues that have been uncovered are serious enough that Tesla itself must take action to ensure the safety of passengers and road users who other is safe.

One of the biggest issues shown is that this FSD will drive faster than the speed limit allowed on the road and will also take dangerous turns which may cause collisions from different directions.

Tesla also confirmed that they will issue an OTA software update to affected Tesla vehicle owners for free soon, which will hopefully fix this issue.
